About Us
Rudini Foundation is an organization based on a single idea: improving individual lives by addressing healthcare disparities in difficult to reach places, so that they can realize their full potential, continue to grow their communities and create positive impact in the country. Rudini recognizes the challenges faced by individuals, and their communities, who are a part of the Last Mile after having spent significant amounts of time in these geographic areas. Often the individuals who live in these places are forced to go without much needed health care which results in deaths from curable or manageable conditions. The loss of these lives, especially in the case of a parent, leaves children extremely vulnerable in already challenging environments. Opportunities for education almost always vanish since those who step in as caregivers are themselves overwhelmed by their own responsibilities. These conditions lead to insecure communities, prone to food insecurity, interpersonal and inter-community conflict, potential displacement and entrenchment of poverty.
This is the cycle Rudini seeks to disrupt.
By recovering and redistributing medical supplies and equipment, and through the provision of volunteer opportunities for medical professionals and aspiring educators, Rudini Foundation is able to further its mission to. We know from experience that this can be successful. Case studies by international organizations such as the World Health Organization, UN Women and the World Bank Group have shown that when communities are provided access to health care services, medicines and knowledgeable personnel, they thrive.
This is the change Rudini seeks to create.
Our purpose is to provide the necessary equipment and additional support to these Last Mile communities so that they can regain their health individually and collectively. By doing so, we intend to impact those communities directly as well as their countries indirectly.
